Use the scissors to cut shapes out of cardboard boxes.
Regular shapes work best (triangles, squares, circles). Make
lots of shapes with different sizes.
Color the shapes with paints.
Give a box full of shapes to kids and let them have fun.
Hints
Old cereal boxes work well.
Store the shapes in a box covered with colorful pictures or paper.
Have the children help make or paint the shapes.
Different boxes can have different themes (e.g. weather
shapes, animal shapes).

Note for Parents:

your responsibility to choose the activities that are safe in your own
home.
Children love making gifts for their parents and other adults who
are important to them. But what can they make that will delight the
person they are giving the gift to?
Here's how you can quickly and easily get lots of simple, high quality
gift ideas that you children can make. Guaranteed to be fun the
children making the gift, and a delight for the person receiving it.
