My kids are involved in lots of teams and groups. Our First Lego League team is continuing to meet throughout the year and we've invited new kids to join. The kids are also involved with two Destination ImagiNation teams, and I'm coaching one of them. Here are two of the games we use to welcome new kids into a group.
Sometimes the kids are meeting for the first time, other times we have one new child joining an established team. I'm always trying to find ways to make sure the new kids are able to be part of the group. Here are two games I've found that make it fun for everyone and ensure the new kids get included.
Name Game - great for kids and adults to make sure they know everyone's name.
Tied in Knots - perfect for when the kids will need to work together. This game is a fun way to start that process.
